The wonders of Christmas will come alive at the Staten Island Ballet’s “The Nutcracker,” next weekend in the Center For the Arts at the College of SI.
Ballerinas will join dance pros from three continents to take audiences on a journey of holiday joy.
Even a fuzzy palace pony, also a stage pro, will take his bows with the 40-member cast celebrating the ballet company’s 31st annual “The Nutcracker,” notes Ellen Tharp, the artistic director of the Staten Island Ballet.

They arrived in their fanciest finery, dressed to impress and party ready for an elegant evening at the Staten Island Ballet’s 31st Anniversary Gala.
The posh affair, staged amid the grandeur that is the Richmond County Country Club, came replete with gourmet dining and a dazzling Las Vegas-style floor show performed by members of the Staten Island Ballet’s Professional Dance Company.
